Leoš Hort, better known as HRTL, is a renowned modular synth maestro from the rare easy-to-pronounce-right Czech city of Brno. Yellow Mellow, his new LP on local label Nona (affiliated with open-source modular synth makers Bastl), offers 7 modular jams where elements of disco and acid sit alongside gentle techno and textural synth melodies. “My Pizza Is Dead” though - what’s the guy thinking!? Let me tell you one thing: pizza is never dead. You can always heat it up and it’s just fine. Luckily for him (and you too), the track is pretty sweet.
Yellow Mellow is out now as digital 0s and 1s (if you purchase them via Bandcamp, you can even choose how compressed they will be!) and vinyl is coming in early 2018 too.
