Something about pop always. Last night, coming home drunk, all I could listen to was “You Da One” on repeat, as ever, no shame. Something similar upon hearing the first pads and peeps of this pithy ballad from Julius Smack, and, it’s actually kind of a funny coincidence how the “You Da One” video, one of Rihanna’s most-hilarious worst, finds her styled in a spectrum of mod and droogy-mime, and, previously, Smack was known for performing audio-dance pieces in white face paint and all-white outfits. And, on the homepage of his website, he’s pictured all in white in a rather mimetic pose. Anyways, keep up this year here and here.
