Father’s doing his thing, Ethereal’s dope too, but as far as Awful Records goes, if you ask me, the team’s truest talent lies with crew co-founder KeithCharles Spacebar, who’s been back on his grind of late, releasing the kinda-sorta-sequel to 2013’s Howto[COUNT], KEEP[COUNT], on the same day as Circa ‘11, a collection of nine songs originally intended for the followup to his debut album, BeforeCommonEra.
KC Sb has since went the Ugly Mane/Nispey Hussle route, charging relatively exorbitant sums for his back catalog and current releases. For example, downloading the aforementioned debut via Bandcamp will run you €50 (or $58.95 by the going conversion rate), and his latest, “Me in Heaven * / Me in Hell^,” is an 11-minute 45-second mix for which he’s charging €7 ($8.25). But what the hell? There’s nothing wrong with an artist recognizing the value of his work, and this joint, as you can tell from the free stream below, is worth every red (Euro) cent.
