When I think of Austin’s Holodeck Records, I’m not usually imagining a crisp dancefloor banger. But here we are, with a new tune off their soon to be released self-titled EP from Lou Rebecca. In college I was a runner for the library scanning service, so I got to have my headphones on when walking through campus and puttering around. I always enjoyed some bangers, especially in the hot summer days, when I was walking around, feeling fresh, getting some exercise, and making a little skrill while I was at it.
“Tonight,” off Lou Rebecca’s EP for the label, is a solid, mid-tempo jam that should get your feet tapping at your desk, or maybe get the club kids moving out on the dancefloor. I don’t always ride the pop train, but Lou Rebecca’s “Tonight” is a nice little pop gem, and I’m all aboard, baby! Lou Rebecca is out January 12, 2018, and you can now pre-order the EP in vinyl, cassette, and digital formats.
