Shrieking toward your dome is fresh light from a distant star. A Metal Rouge recording from three years back, brought into blistered existence at Sonelab in Easthampton, MA. Helga Fassonaki and Andrew Scott arrived at the studio directly off a European tour, musically sharp but physically jet lagged, apparently in a shared state of controlled delirium. And there’s something to jet lag. Per William Gibson- “souls can’t move that quickly, and are left behind, and must be awaited, upon arrival, like lost luggage.” The recordings themselves might have stayed lost luggage, but the session is now out on Metal Rouge’s Emerald Cocoon label. Enough material to span two albums in fact, Broke In and Broke Out. Though done in 2013, an incredible hive of improvised sound is happening right now.
