London based Nao gives us “Adore You” from her debut EP So Good; some soulful, subtle electronic R&B/pop that makes us wanna get under the bedsheets. Featuring equally sexy vocals from Maryland based abhi//dijon, “Adore You” is retrospective but still very 2014 (almost 2015!), music for post-Solange’s wedding, post-Beyonce 7-11, post-Ferguson, dreaming of a world where love reigns. The main lyric “I really do adore you” makes an unreliable narrator out of Nao, and that’s precisely what makes this song shoot over another similar one that cries out devoted, unconditional love, rather than the more real feeling of love and doubt at the same time.
