With a broad roster and a 120-count Crayola variation of styles, Oligopolist Records has killed it once again with their olgp sampler 2015 (artwork by Amanda Mackenzie-Noice). Deadly beats, piano pieces, funky hold music, Eastern exploration soundtracks, Madlib worship (I mean this in a good way), pitter-patter percussion, deep synths, and an ass-load more of descriptive-worthy sounds are featured on this stacked sampler. Such joy! Such pleasure! Such fun!
Apparently:
This is a collection of brand new/soon-to-be-released material from members and friends
So giddy-up, buttercup! Feels like it’s going to be a good upcoming year for the Portland-based label.
