At my desk, with my computer, clothed as I am now, in circumstances as these, like it is for almost everyone. All that I am not in this world I am in another, listening to this song, before it is the Hour. I’m happy & not afraid anymore. I surrender to the drum rhythm & subtle return of the central melody after the drum breakdown. I think I might actually pray tonight. Because in the bequeathed moment of our apparition we are merely phenomena, sundered gems of no tone, weaklings who repel our human nature but, in the end, can’t unlearn it.
