On what should realistically be referred to as a Rich The Kid and Famous Dex joint project, the Atlanta rapper and his Rich Forever Music signee deliver a one-two punch of flashy and ultra-forward flows, respectively. Album highlight “Out the Mud” transitions Rich’s cash-concerned hook (“I bought her new Louis she spoiled/ Had to get out mud, the money like oil”) into Dex’s candid assemblage of thoughts (“You run up on me, blow you back/ I’m smoking dope I relax, popping pills I can’t relax”), while required listens “Plug Callin” and “Rich Forever” find distinctly ultra-confident vibes abound.
New-school associates are in tow throughout the Rich Forever sequel, as Lil Yachty and Playboi Carti make welcomed appearances (alongside a show-stealing hook from Jaden Smith on “Like This”). As if the tape’s Invader Zim-themed artwork wasn’t a sufficient heads up, their typically light-hearted spitting fits right in with the youth movement Rich and Dex have worked to cultivate, its appeal undeniable on their newest venture.
