Milwaukee alt rock kingpins Sat Nite Duets are back and, dare I say, better than ever?? After a few singles and odds and ends Bandcamp releases since 2k14’s Los DJs, the Riverwest crew returns with “St. Yuppie,” the first taste of their new album, Air Guitar. With each passing year the fog of youth may lift as I ease more into the “adult” lifestyle of farmer’s markets, Aeropress coffee, and going to bed at 9:30PM, but Sat Nite Duets bring me back to the seemingly endless summer breaks of college. Thankfully, I managed to sneak some Spotted Cow out of Wisconsin and back to Washington (don’t tell New Glarus!), so when I crack one open and jam out to “St. Yuppie,” I’m in a good place :)
Air Guitar drops September 16 (pre-orders HERE) in limited edition Bone and Baby Blue A/B Side Vinyl, standard black vinyl, and CD. The CD of course is “perfect for long drives in the car!” as the band says. Summer is here, baby, and so is the perfect soundtrack.
