If you love emo Uzi, I hope you haven’t been missing this TMT fav duo. Where Lil Trav & Lil Ceno usually capture the technicolor “summertime Chi, ahhhh,” here is a Sicko Mobb track for the clear, blue, and cold Chicago afternoon we’re having today. The hook shoegazes over somber piano (prod. itslilc4): “Ain’t no love in the hood when I show up/ But I’m the same motherfucker used to show love.” This new track hopefully signals a proper Sicko album on the way.
Until then, you can listen to their solo work: Lil Trav’s super strong mixtape, Trav Da Goat, was released at the end of March. And Lil Ceno’s “Used To This” remix remakes the chorus in his own image. Just today they “cleared the hard drive” for the Lil Trav-dominated (but featuring Lil Ceno) Sicko Saiyan, made up of mostly Vol. 1 Type Beats. For the fans!
