At this point it should come as no surprise that Oakland’s Inner Islands consistently drops some wisdom via 1-2 primo ambient/new age/relaxation tapes per quarter. The most recent batch, in addition to a new album from label head Sean Conrad’s Channelers project, includes the mellow guitar tones of Braden J. McKenna’s softest project. six wishes is described as “gentle rain on a dark green landscape. A warmth to gather yourself around,” and as I listen and write I’m sitting in my apartment, with my cat, watching the rain fall outside as I enjoy a day off of work. I think it could only get more ideal if I threw in a quick yoga sesh, but maybe another time ;)
