Because I’m lame like that, I emailed Trendy Decay to ask if they are a label, a collective, neither, nothing, or anything, and they—they being founders Lunarios, Rules, and BOY—told me that they weren’t totally sure, but, if anything, they’re collectivizing, to my ears at least, to surface some gothy electro-funk straight up from the deep, dank, metallic recesses of the world underground. Their first mix comes by way of Barcelona’s $DVORE and includes some supersonic singles, freakishly multi-layered and atmospheric mixing, big samples, deep bass, insane, all-over-the-show vocals, and Copeland’s “Smitten” thrown in for good measure. Kind of but actually imploring you to stream below!
