It’s been over a year since Vesa dropped a mixtape. During his absence, the world has been burning at a higher rate than usual [see: everywhere], so this return is somewhat of a relief. *exhale slowly*
Now, I’m sure the tranquility of creating familiar patterns and loops can ultimately feel like you are toeing the line of complacency, but Volume One is too goddamn funky and fine to label it as just another beat tape. I salute you, Vesa. Such curation and refinement are rare in this little beatworld. Big standing ovation for this one.
