Aye, fuck cancer. There’s no debating that, especially not after the disease recently claimed the lives of music icons David Bowie and Lemmy; to liver and prostate cancer, respectively. Then there’s Boosie Badazz, who last year — during the height of Boosie awareness — revealed that he had been been diagnosed with kidney cancer. Thankfully he has since undergone surgery, removing half of one of his kidneys, and is now living cancer-free. To iterate: fuck cancer. Young Thug’s freshly released Slime Season 3 single, the appropriately-titled “F Cancer (Boosie),” tackles the deadly disease by doing everything it’s trying to prevent you from doing: living your life to fullest and basically turning up in the face of adversity. Sure, he’s only just “a rapper” — and perhaps, occasionally, your best friend, too — but Thugger Thugger, M.D.’s “F Cancer” is the B12 shot we could all use right now.
