The cover of Candace’s latest LP, New Future, prominently features a window looking out onto the ocean (or one of the Great Lakes. They’re huge!). At this moment, I wish I had enough vacay and skrill to rent a little house on the ocean and chill for a week or two with some Murakami, cheap beer, and a deck chair. That’s all I’m really feelin’ right now.
While I’m pulled back into the real world and phoning it in on my last hour of work, the video for “Midnight Blue,” a track originally featured on their cassette EP Return to Zero, but now seeing release as New Future’s second single, is here to get you in that mid-summer vacation feel. And if that’s not enough, the band just hit the road for a month-long U.S. tour (dates HERE), so find when they’re getting to a town near you and check ‘em out. Nothing like a good rock show to lift your spirits.
