Constellation Tatsu has become such a reliable and punctual source of ambient, drone, and all sounds miscellaneous, that I’ve begun to set my watch to the release of their cassette batches. The latest, dropping February 5, features a clutch tape, entitled Landmarks, from Celer + Forest Management. The Japan/Chicago duo deftly navigates foggy, bleary ambient tones that make it hard to tell if you’re asleep or awake. Speaking for myself, I can never tell, but that’s neither here nor there. At this point in the game, I’m fairly biased towards digging on Tatsu jams, but since I’m not in any way a “tastemaker,” you still have your independence and can click elsewhere, if you feel so inclined. If I were a betting man, I’d wager you’ll be hungry to hear the rest of Landmarks after the excerpt we’ve got for you below. Drift in, zone out, and let Celer + Forest Management be your guide.
