As we recently reported, Josephine Foster has revived her band Mendrugo. The group — consisting of Foster, members of the Victor Herrero Band (Victor and brother José Luis), Japanese woodwind artist Taku, and Spanish folk musician Lorena Alvarez — is set to release its new album More Amor. The release finds Mendrugo in celebratory mode, with 12 tracks of high-spirited, vibrant folk songs that signify community and solidarity with an infectious, joyful glee.
TMT has the pleasure of premiering More Amor in full, one week ahead of its release. It’s out next Friday, July 29, courtesy of Fire Records, and you can pre-order it here. And if you haven’t already, be sure to also check out Foster’s latest album, No More Lamps In the Morning. It’s great.
