Shame on me for not sharing this new teaser video of R23X’s newest Dream Catalogue release, SOUND_TRACK ~ [MP3].torrent, because it’s brilliant. Not only is it a marvel in modern music video making, but the innovative idea behind the whole story-arch and visualization is more than creative though inspiring for whole-cassette listening. It’s direct and captivating, yet not entirely upfront with specifics, while still maintaining distant focus, never misleading. Sort of like R23X’s previous releases — leading to the insinuation that each are misplaced soundtracks from unreleased video games — listeners have a loose VISUAL grasp of the content of their story-line, giving distinction to title highlights, climaxes and plateaus. Thus, the brilliance in keeping afoot from delivering exact intention withholds R23X’s aesthetic value through his art as an invisible-narrator/musician.
