Well Yells been stirring up February with new release Waves in the Woods dropping next Friday. Having already heard the single “Sun In Your Eyes,” colder-wave fans can rejoice with the newest Well Yells video for the title track, “Waves in the Woods.” Swirling synths dig deeper into the sound of frigid downward-spirals when Patrick Holbrook’s vocals chime in like monk chants from the underground. Buried in the briefness of melting weather, melodies increase and fluctuate from chorus to chorus like an unsolvable puzzle that entwines listeners’ minds in pensive thought. Then an echoing bellows throughout and absorbs what was once a finely paced progression of keys into a collage of harmonious sympathy, dragging ethereally until the end of “Waves In The Woods.” Well Yells literally defines the project name within this video and I’m so stoked to present the full cassette effect to y’all next week.
