YlangYlang is of pure beauty. Sure they got the over-echo’d vocals reverbing from Qubec to Brooklyn, but it’s the full package I’m looking for, and not just T.E.A.M.S. bugging out because his effects wont work for a song the needs no vocal effects. And it’s not that YlangYlang NEEDS effects to create a breathier or wispier vocalization, but it’s completely appropriate for the music. Consiously, YlangYlang forefronts their lyrical content with beats just as subdued, and melodies that accentuate the chill-realm being developed. Thus, Mutualism. For proof of symbiotic artistry, below is the YlangYlang video for “Les heures violettes,” which ALSO pairs good visualization to the entire package:
But we’re talking Mutualism here, a special new tape on the ever expanding and generously active, Illuminated Paths. Through acquiring YlangYlang, The Octopus Project, PolyGlove, Saint Pepsi, and Evan P Donohue, the label not only is building itself a name in a variety of genres, but including both lesser known artists with larger ones, weighing them as equals (as we’re all human), and putting them upon a pedestal of exercise-complete. Again: thus, Mutualism. As if the crystals have aligned fate and destiny for YlangYlang and Illuminated Paths to work together.
Scope out the entirety of Mutualism by YlangYlang below on Illuminated Paths, and prepare for a world of peace:
