Before you dismiss the machete as horrorcore prop, consider the fringe Tibetan Buddhist practice of Chöd, wherein a chanting shaman meditates on his body being sliced to bits as a sacrificial offering to feasting spirits. AZOMALI isn’t a horrorcore rapper, but the Chödpa have been known to frighten.
For his latest video, AZOMALI takes to the subterranean railways of NYC, a locale that still instills fear in out-of-towners despite its current sanitized security state. Found underground in the Earth’s crust, “Uranium” contains the only naturally occurring isotope capable of sustaining a nuclear fission reaction, i.e. bomb shit.
