“Stolenboosch” sounds like a German surname, don’t you think? Just say it with an accent. Stolenboosch. “Guten tag, my name is Hans Stolenboosch, I drive a Volkswagen and live in Hamburg, Deutschland. My Volkswagen has quite a lot of horsepower so I like to drive it on the A24 Autobahn from Hamburg to Berlin, where I occasionally travel for business. On the way, I often stop at the Tankstelle to buy a good Frankfurter sausage.”
I mean, idk, maybe not. It’s pretty early in the morning, so I’m pretty knackered. What I do know though (with absolute certainty) is that “Stolenboosch” is also a track name. And that track appears on Cara Stacey & Camilo Ángeles’s forthcoming album Ceder on experimental UK label Kit Records. The album (released on CD - pretty radical) drops on May 1, and supposedly unfurls like a labyrinthine soundtrack to a foreign planet. Even on “Stolenboosch”, we see it - this planet is sparsely populated and spacious, yet it brims with life. Check out the hypnotic vid above, pre-order tapes CDs right around heeereeee.
