Mike Collins (fka Salvia Plath and Run DMT) is back with help from a slew of folks under the project name, Drugdealer. Today, Weird World Records announced the debut Drugdealer album, The End of Comedy, setting sail “Suddenly,” featuring the serene pipes of Weyes Blood, while watching her in the video just having fun in the woods! It’s pure love. Strolling piano and well-paced drumming. The base-line that strikes again and again. Into a melting computer. Not to ignore the fact that Weyes Blood looks like she’s about to laugh the whole time until leaving you in the woods at the end. Staring at the camera’s floating spirit POV.
But Drugdealer don’t stop at “Suddenly,” no! The End of Comedy also features collaborations with Ariel Pink, Sheer Agony, and (duh!) members of Mac DeMarco’s band. Snoop Weird World Records immediately for digital and LP and CD pre-orders, but the last laugh bellows out September 9!
