Sacred geometry and footwork-wobble coalesce in D∆WN’s animated experience for “Cali Sun,” a compact, Machinedrum-produced track from her upcoming RED*emp*tion album. From the brightness of two overlapping suns, a 20-sided shape is cast. Its Platonic-grade potential breaking apart, new elements form rock and water, material structures, even D∆WN herself. It’s a fleeting omnidirectional utopiascape of digital palms (of both tree and hand) and a horizon that functions as a fold in the symmetry, ending with the singer’s contemplation of a radiant sunrise.
