Now that we’re just in time for the change from warm, sunny days to cool, cloudy, and rainy days by me, I won’t lie, I love it! Summer is cool and all, but when you work 40 hours in a basement office, it loses its luster. Now we’re getting to nine months of time for me to sit inside and zone some nice, dank electronic jams, both for TMT purposes and for my own personal listening.
As a follow-up to the deep, aquatic tinged Orchardist tape from earlier this year, Chilean label Nonlocal Research just unveiled Hydrorion Remnants, the latest kaleidoscopic transmission from Embassador Dulgoon. Directed by Gabriela González Rondón, the clip features some nicely tripped out visuals and animations. It fits the song’s warped carnival ride on acid vibe very nicely. The next time you find yourself up at 3:30a.m. and can’t fall back asleep, do yourself a favor and watch this video with the lights out, at the height of that somnambulist state.
Hydrorion Remnants is available for purchase now, on vinyl with some righteous artwork courtesy of Grant Corum (aka the Orchadist, and recent tour mate of Embassador Dulgoon). Dig deep into the shorter days and greenery of your surroundings with Embassador Dulgoon as your sonic tour guide.
