“The Etruscan civilization is the modern name given to a powerful and wealthy civilization of ancient Italy in the area corresponding roughly to Tuscany, western Umbria and northern Lazio.”
I’m not sure who the Etruscans were defrauding in the ancient times, but the soundtrack to that particular activity is pleasant indeed. “Etruscan Rooking” - dreamy vid above - is the latest single taken off HESITATION’s eponymous debut LP released via a trio of wonderful UK labels: Kit Records, videogamemusic and Reckno.
HESITATION’s debut album is a collection of woozy improvs recorded by Reckno founder Chris Catlin (aka Yaaard) and Kit Records founder Richard Greenan (aka Devon Loch) almost two years ago. The initial recordings were slowly stitched together into the seven track LP. While both the peaceful “Three Way Mirror” and the hypnotic “Etruscan Rooking” suggest an entirely calming atmosphere, HESITATION supposedly travels from “shoegaze to crystal clear electronics and fuzzed out jazz”.
While I am not yet able to confirm or deny this particular piece of information, one thing I can do is to direct you to a place where you can pre-order the LP which drops on June 22: Kit Records, videogamemusic, Reckno.
