Since moving to Japan in 2006 (wah!!!), Jim O’Rourke has performed many times at Tokyo’s Roppongi SuperDeluxe venue, playing alongside Carlos Giffoni, Fire!, and Lasse Marhaug/Paal Nilssen-Love, among others. But he also performs solo there. In fact, the first track on his recently released Old News 5 was recorded at SuperDeluxe.
