A tropical bird call opens “Sound & Image,” and the track only gets more chill from there. The second track off Martin Glass’s debut The Pacific Visions of Martin Glass is a serene, 1980s-inspired instrumental armed with a groove equally kitschy and irresistible. Here, Glass walks a thin line indeed, but I reckon he gets away with it — as the groove dissolves into thin air, I can’t help but yearn for a little bit more than the two minutes and 56 seconds of virtual beach time that “Sound & Image” offers.
Luckily, The Pacific Visions of Martin Glass doesn’t disappoint:
