In a valiant effort to keep the Good-Time Summer Vibes a-rockin’ and a-rollin’ post-Labor Day — and to properly capitalize on the ca-raaaazy commercial cache of their Cannes Film Festival award-winning soundtrack to the Robert Patterson film Good Time — Daniel “Dr. Teeth” Lopatin and Iggy “Electric Mayhem” Pop have just unleashed a brand new video for album track “The Pure and the Damned.”
The sun-drenched clip was directed by the Safdie Brothers and stars Robert Pattinson, Benny Safdie, and an eternally-youthful Iggy Pop as they evade their super-square high school principal en route to the beach for one last “epic hang.”
Meanwhile, if you’re looking for more of a good time than four and a half minutes can provide, Good Time is currently in theaters across North America, and the Good Time Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is available now via Warp.
Now… if you’ll please excuse me… I’ve gotta put this clip on and do the Mashed Potato.
