Australia’s Burning Rose label lowkey released one of the best tapes of 2016, and it looks like they are beginning this year in proper form with a new record from Publique. Falling squarely in the Christian Death/Killing Joke Venn diagram, the Sydney/Melbourne band bring all the echo, despair, and heavy bass drums you could want in under 3 minutes. This band is great at being both cool and sad, and I love them for that.
