Off her newest album Tristă cu Frică, Stefana Fratila pops her first single “EVIL” straight from the heart of Vancouver. Here, the noise/art-rock goddess feels textures in lyrics and vocals, guitared and bowed strings, and even neon grained images within the video too. It’s all super complimentary. Yet, with an ironic twist, in entanglement with the title, this music is contemplative and patient, bringing (potentially) about the WORST in one’s self, as the more you think and dwell, but heavier shit can get. Thus, “EVIL” is just sinking the most graceful way.
Tristă cu Frică was released yesterday on Genero. If you dig the pleasentness of Stefana Fratila’s “EVIL,” you should DEFINITELY grip a copy for yourself! Video was directed by Soledad Muñoz Fiegehen, while standing in the background as assistant editor is Strawberry Jacuzzi
