Time to get down, all you diamond-eyed, groove junkies and stockmarket-savvy ravers out there! Kraurock-ish, psych-pop band White Hills’ dynamic Duke-and-Dauphin-duo of “Dave W.” and “Ego Sensation” have OOOO-ficially shared a new video for “Life is Upon You,” taken from their recently released album for the Thrill Jockey label, entitled Walks For Motorists.
The clip above was directed by the band’s own Ego Sensation (and since her first name IS “Ego,” you’ll have to cut her some slack for appearing frequently herself in the video) and was filmed entirely on location in the band’s hometown of New York City. Ego says she has “always been enthralled by the energy and mystique of NYC” and that she “wanted to encapsulate that” in the video.
That’s funny! Because I’ve always been enthralled by people doing whatever I COMMAND them to do; and right now, I want you to watch this thing.
