Maybe I can motivate your appreciation of Stockhausen. I’d credit him alone with establishing the parameters for what we expect and we what we think is possible in terms of the texture, timbre, and structure of electronic music. This mixtape takes from modern classical music, free-jazz, and wanky academia, but winds up back in techno, modern classical music, free-jazz and wanky academia. I just picked the bits I like most.
