Instrumental music that goes good with an Asimov novel

I’ve always found Isaac Asimov’s novels to be forward-thinking, detailed, and complex. Obviously, if you’re reading, you want a soundtrack that’s not terribly intrusive. The following songs are ordered by relative intrusiveness into your reading, with the first half being pretty mellow (ambient), and the latter slightly more hectic.

01. Brian Eno - “Signals”
02. Kraftwerk - “Kometenmelodie 1”
03. William Basinski - “D|P 2.1”
04. Moby - “Myopia”
05. Aphex Twin - “Tha”
06. Jean-Michel Jarre - “Oxygene, Pt. 1”
07. Nine Inch Nails - “9 Ghosts I”
08. Ital Tek - “Moon Bow”
09. The Flashbulb - “Undiscovered Colors”
10. The Glitch Mob - “Bad Wings (Dero Remix)”
11. Wisp - “Negions Fail”
12. Jon Hopkins - “Vessel”
13. Phutureprimitive - “Cryogenic Dreams”

Mix Tapes

Here’s how The Automatic Mix Tapes Generator works: Send us a thought, phrase, question, quotation, or whatever else, and if one of our mix tape robots fancies your suggestion, the crazy set of circuits might just make a mix tape out of it — well, at least a tracklisting for one. Request a mix tape here, and help us compile mix tapes here.
