There's a sight I could never tire of: even the most adamant electronic hater among us has to at least smile at Axl Jansen's artistic theme for BPitch Control's relatively new run of techno party mixes. Bitten by the boogie mid headshake this time around is Berlin tech-house champ Sascha Funke. It's a little unfair for Sascha to raise the bar so high this early in the series, but (since I have to listen to it several times, whether I like it or not) I'm not gonna complain. Funke delivers a flawlessly executed, thoroughly balanced mix of understated techno euphoria that's going to be hard to top for volume three. I don't listen to this kind of electronica much, and I've never heard of all but two names anywhere related to this Boogie Bytes installment, but man is it easy to get into. Dig it.
