While the weather outside cools down, temps in the club are heatin’ up when this new set of tunes from L.A.’s venerable 100% Silk start blaring from the speakers. Get ready to put on your raving shoes, which could be just the same as your regular shoes (you do you, babies!), and dig in to info on the label’s latest.
With her first release in seven years, LA Vampires (Silk co-founder Amanda Kramer) teams up with “bicoastal-tronica duo” Cologne (Danny Scott Lane and Vasilios Manoudakis) for the LA Vampires Does Cologne album 10 Outta 10.
The next two releases are a pair of Silk debuts: Michigander Cammi (Cameron Weede) implores us to Look At The World with his “Fresh, fried, and freewheeling” set of electronic grooves; and last but not least, Jason James’ Force Placement unleashes Vibe Repair. One of the resident DJs with LA party series The Black Lodge, James says the tape was created “from sketches conceived during early morning post-party sessions.”
