Action Bronson has announced a new album, White Bronco, which a press release bills as “his first independent project in years.”
As many albums do, White Bronco includes a song which shares its title with the album as a whole. This is what we in the business call a “title track.” Bronson has shared this track, “White Bronco,” alongside the news of his album’s impending release, which is slated for “later this fall” via EMPIRE.
“The song is a smiley face inside a spider web,” Bronson states of “White Bronco” (the song). “The spider web represents omnipresent danger, but I’m very happy despite it.” In this analogy, it sounds like Bronson is the smiley face.
Bronson — who, through a lucrative relationship with Vice over the last several years has become something like revivalist boom-bap’s foremost celebrity multi-hyphenate, hosting his own cooking show and a talk show, as well as a show where viewers just watch him watch Ancient Aliens — adds yet one more bullet to his resume by painting White Bronco’s cover art (above) himself. His aesthetic is raw and unadorned.
Listen to “White Bronco” below and stay tuned for more info on the the album…which, again, is “COMING SO FUCKING SOOOOON.”
