Why, would you look at that? It seems everyone we know is here:
There’s Aidan Baker of Nadja, Faith Coloccia of Mamiffer, percussionist Jon Mueller, and… why, yes, I do believe I see you here, too. (Isn’t that something?)
I must be late; all the clocks are disembarking from their wall-mounts and evaporating into cold grey dust, all the wristwatches in existence are ticking invisibly against the pulse of their owners’ flesh. I could’ve sworn I saw a ghost a moment ago. My, time certainly flies…
I’m happy to be here, to join Baker, Coloccia, and Mueller in sharing the announcement of their new collaborative album See Through. It’s an experiment in dehumanizing and rehumanizing familiar musical components into an ambient mélange: sequencing electric guitar textures on a drum machine, looping ethereal vocal phrases, tapping out abstract rhythms on drums and other percussive paraphernalia. Something for us all, it seems.
See Through is out through Gizeh Records on April 26 (although something tells me it was always here). Pre-order it here, check out the opening track “Yellow” down below, and follow the tracklisting below for guidance. Take the dance into translucency for yourself. Thank you.
