Allison Crutchfield of Swearin’ and Waxahatchee has signed with Merge Records, home of Arcade Fire, Dinosaur Jr., Neutral Milk Hotel, and more. She will be releasing an album with the label in 2017. Crutchfield had the following to say about the development: “Signing with Merge was always sort of a fantasy milestone in my mind, like winning an Oscar or opening a bakery in New England. It was something I dreamed about a hundred times as a teenager but never thought could actually happen.” Seems like a good fit!
