After last year’s informal announcement of a new album in-the-works and video for single “All to Myself”, Ex-Dirty Projector and serial collaborator (think Bjork, David Byrne, Snoop Lion, Frank Ocean, Rusko, J Cole etc) has finally announced the full details of her debut solo album. The announcement follows the release of her follow-up single “No Coffee” and comes in the wake of a Dirty Projectors album which Pitchfork reports she was “surprised” to hear about.
The debut album was recorded in Los Angeles and is called City of No Reply. It will be available June 2 via Columbia Records.
Don’t worry though; the album’s newest single “No Coffee” — which is available now — has got enough nifty visual accompaniment to keep you awake sans-caffeine until then.
