Berghain regular Anthony Parasole has long since made a name for himself in the Berlin club scene with gritty, propulsive techno that still manages to capture an uncommonly wide range of human emotion. Yet he has resisted making a full-length statement — until now. His debut LP, Infrared Vision, is out April 3 via Dekmantel (pre-order it here).
From what Parasole has teased thus far via the SoundCloud snippets below, Infrared Vision seems to consciously reject a conversation with the present sonic state of techno, opting instead for the sounds and timbres of NYC’s 90s heyday. Even if he can’t usher in a full return to that magical era, he can at least try to capture its essence for a little while, so that we can all lose our minds to it without having to get our hands on a time machine first.
Infrared Vision tracklist:
01. Cold Steel
02. Murky Waters
03. Explode
04. Momentum
05. Infrared Vision
06. Bizarre Part 2
07. Spell On Me
08. The Chant
09. Zenith
10. So Alive (Digital Only)
