Arcade Fire announce headlining tour, donate money to help impoverished communities

After having recently announced details about their new album, The Suburbs — due August 3 via Merge (TMT News) — Arcade Fire have just revealed their first headlining US dates since Neon Bible. But don’t you think going to concerts is a waste of time when there is so much disease and poverty in the world? Well, you’re in luck: the group will donate $1 for every sold ticket to Partners In Health, “an organization helping impoverished communities around the world combat disease and poverty.”

See Arcade Fire, change the world, etc.
