Following the recent surprise release of the massive elseq 1-5 series of oversize EPs and last October’s AE_LIVE collection of concert performances, it seems malware-stricken b-boy androids Autechre aren’t going to be sitting on their laurels for long. The iconic pair of Rob Brown and Sean Booth have announced an expansive European tour kicking off late October, with almost 30 dates in all, spanning everywhere from Poland to the Czech Republic to Estonia (!) and concluding on their home turf of Manchester’s Granada Studios. Their live shows have achieved near mythical status among gear hounds in the know, featuring largely improvised experimental electronics woven within their more “composed” material.
