Look friends, when the ghost king sends his ghost minions to steal your non-ghost cow, convert it to a ghost-cow, and then make it produce an unending supply of ghost-milk for the ghost kingdom on into perpetuity, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Don’t say I, a certified non-ghost, didn’t send you messages via email, Facebook, and Tinder containing these three simple words: “Ghosts are real.” Don’t say that I didn’t additionally warn you of the coming ghost dynasty. I did. And you had time to prepare.
I’m not the only one who knows what’s coming, either. If their latest batch is any indication, Bathetic Records (you know, the folks responsible for putting out that way-deep Bitchin Bajas collection as well as Earn’s Hell on Earth which was TMT’s 45th favorite album of last year) are all too aware. Entitled Dynasty at Ghost Town, Bathetic’s latest consists of 11 releases from 11 different artists, including Aquarelle, Lee Noble, Scott Tuma, and Panabrite (check the full list below). The artwork for the whole thing is from Simon Fowler is a big contiguous piece, such that when each release is arranged in the proper order, it reveals a big long scary and spindly thing that looks, to my ghost-attuned eyes, like some sort of severed ghost arm or something. See it for yourself on the pre-order page (you can also listen to audio samples from each of the tapes there).
And to answer a question some of you bozos will probably have: these tapes are only available as part of the batch, not individually. Which, like, come on, are you really going to pass on a chance to get this whole pile all at once? Especially when the success or failure of an entire ghost dynasty is on the line? I didn’t think so.
