Will Wiesenfeld, known to many as Baths, has a very good pair of sideburns. This is a fact about Baths. He also tours quite a bit. That is another fact about Baths. If you knew nothing about Baths before reading this story, you now know exactly two facts about Baths. Here’s the rest you need to know: he makes jittery hip-hop beats not entirely dissimilar to Flying Lotus or Prefuse 73 but with a fuzzy pop-song bent entirely dissimilar to Flying Lotus or Prefuse 73 (see last year’s Cerulean on anticon.) and he is also going on tour near the year’s end.
After playing this year’s iteration of Fun Fun Fun Fest (which I’ll be at, say hi to me!), Wiesenfeld plans to wrap up the year by playing a string of dates through the month of November. Accompanying him will be a number of groups that make perfect sense to play with Baths, like Dntel and Anamanaguchi. Rumor has it that every member of every group hanging out with Baths will grow sideburns at least as good as Wiesenfeld’s. You should stop believing rumors.
