Like the mysterious carnival of pleasures in Ray Bradbury’s fiction classic Something Wicked This Way Comes, underground punk/metal/electronic/whatever festival Berserktown comes but once a year to Los Angeles to transform the dull lives of its citizens in fantastical, darkly beautiful, hard rockin’ ways. (Except for it’s not evil, presumably, and there are definitely no juggalo connotations.) This year, the fest rolls into downtown L.A.’s Teragram Ballroom from August 12-14.
For the fest’s third year, the lineup goes increasingly diverse, with performances from Psychic TV (and special guests!) doing Force the Hand of Chance in, of course, its entirety, as well as Inga Copeland, Powell, Destruction Unit + Friends, Pop. 1280, Croation Amor, Gorilla Angreb, Hank Wood & The Hammerheads, The Kids, Container, Marshstepper, Murean Humanos, Cold Showers, Rezzett, Personable, Rixe, Urochromes, Drapetomania, Honey, Vial, Jason Lescalleet, Nandas, Cold Beat, Angels In America, Horoscope, Criminal, Chain of Flowers, CC Dust, First Hate, Belgrado, La Misma, Wall, Drab Majesty, Warthog, Muerte, Mommy, Cheena, Shopping, Caja De Ritmos, and of course…. more.
The good people at Berserktown will also be hosting a few afterparties and related shows in the L.A. area throughout the course of the fest. More info on everything here.
