Bombay Bicycle Club navigate back from extended hiatus, release brand new single “Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)”

Five years ago, Bombay Bicycle Club were on top of the world, the best damn collection of cyclists the world had seen. They pedaled to the top of the UK charts with 2014’s Mercury Prize-nominated So Long, See You Tomorrow and coasted all the way to headlining the final show ever at Earls Court in London.

Shortly after however, the club, THE WHOLE CLUB, took a wrong turn on their bikes and were unable to find a way back to the main road. Unheard from since, thus began their extended hiatus.

But finally, Bombay Bicycle Club have re-traced their path and are back with a brand new song. “Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)” is their first new piece of music since the hiatus began many wheel rotations ago. Produced by John Congleton, the hazy bopping number signals that an announcement of a brand new album may be coming sometime in the near future.

Until such an announcement comes though, Bombay Bicycle Club have unveiled a list of tour dates. A run of UK November shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose have already sold out, but the band will be hitting up select cities around North America from late September into early October. Hopefully they remember to pack a GPS this time.

Check out all of Bombay Bicycle Club’s upcoming tour dates and stream “Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)” their first new song in five years, down below. Best listened to while lounging on a giant lily pad.
