Braid reunite for new LP, just in time to confuse everybody everywhere

First things first, let’s lay this out because I think it’s necessary and important:

• Braids — modern dream-pop buzz band from Montreal; recently released their debut full-length Native Speaker.
• Braid — influential mid-90s emo band from Champaign, Illinois; recently released nothing in the past 10 years or so.

If that doesn’t clear things up, maybe this rhyme will: “Band with a plural, dreamy sound mural/Band with a singular, guitars are angular.” Okay? Now that my surely timeless poetry has cleared up this confusion, I can go on to say that Braid plan to end their long silence by releasing a new record on Polyvinyl by the end of the year. The entirety of further information behind this release goes as follow: J. Robbins is producing it and the band doesn’t have plans to tour behind it. Oh, and frontman Bob Nanna told A.V. Club that they made the record because “they thought it would be fun.” A fine reason if there ever was one.
