Berlin-based Call Super’s spacey and mazelike house has lately been one of my favorite ways to get back to the best of my highs. Just put some on — maybe “Dovetail” — and okay, yup; that’s what it feels like to stare into existence and want mindlessness, to reject control, to become non-rational, to wonder in loops and in colors. Get it?
Now, he’s got an LP on the way. It’s called Arpo, and his label Houndstooth is stoked about it. I’m stoked about it. ±Yes squared is always positive. That means it doesn’t matter which way you point your yes, you square. Got it?
